Every time Maria and Joe would discuss details about their wedding, the two normally gets excited. Although their wedding is still a couple of months away, they made sure that all details are carefully planned. Although they both agreed to a simple and intimate wedding, they also would want it to be one that is unique - something different from the usual ones they have witnessed. Joe, on his end, wants to give his bride-to-be the beautiful wedding she deserves. At one point, he even considered having hog roasts for weddings for a change. But when he told Maria about it, she just laughed at his idea. Maria then told him, Honey, let's not pressure ourselves too much with the wedding ceremony. We can't expect it to be perfect, but it is okay. What is important is our life together after the wedding. I don't want us to splurge on the wedding preparations, when we should be saving up for a house of our own. Joe was enlightened. He could not agree more with what Maria has just said.

My dad was usually busy in his office. Whenever we wanted to talk to him, he would ask us to see him in his office. He was never at home. It was not good to us because whenever other children talked about how they were having fun with their dads especially over the weekends, we did not have anything to stay to them,. Mum was ever present in our lives. When my brother was going to college and he wanted to talk to dad for some advice first before leaving for college, dad agreed to talk to him but over an afternoon tea surrey that was organized by his company. My brother was not able to talk to him at all, because every time they started talking, somebody would interrupt them wanting to greet dad or to talk to him. He was very disappointed. Dad was a stranger to us. When he passed away three months ago, we did not have anything to say about him during his burial ceremony because we barely knew him. Mum was very devastated, but she was always alone at home when dad was working.
